This record also specifies the date the transactions are supposed to post in the Receiver’s account. This record identifies your company as the originator, as well as provides a description (e.g., “gas bill” or “salary”) for all of the transactions in the batch. Each batch starts with a single "Batch Header Record," which begins with "5," and describes the type (debits and/or credits) and purpose of all transaction entries within the batch. ODFIs will then process the ACH files to create larger ACH files to be sent to the ACH Network that contain many originators’ batches.Ī file can contain multiple batches. These differences often are generated in the File Header record, which helps the ODFI recognize which client sent the particular file. Your bank (or ODFI) may have specific formatting requirements and data elements to process your ACH files. The ACH File format is designed to allow various levels of ACH processing (the difference between you sending a file to your bank, and the bank sending a file to the ACH Network). It also includes a date time stamp, as well as the name of the originating bank and company name. I have established a cohesive group of peers within the surrounding communities to work together as a team to solve problems. An ACH file always begins with a single "File Header Record," which will always begin with “101” followed by the routing number of the originating (sending) bank. We discuss issues of importance that affect each one of us. We meet on a quarterly basis at each other’s city halls for Zionsville, Carmel, Westfield, Fishers and Noblesville. I started a Hamilton County area finance officers’ group. “I work directly at the state, county and city level, not only here in Carmel. “All you have to do is look at Steve Dillinger’s state of the county report and see how strong we are going to be pursuing infrastructure investments,” Pauley said. She said she believes her understanding of municipal finance can be of high value to the county council as they begin to realize the variety of infrastructure investments the county is currently looking at pursuing. I have a wealth of business experience prior to my election as clerk-treasurer.” Along with my experience with the Carmel Bond Bank, that is transferrable in a seamless fashion to the county level because the county council is the fiscal body for the county. Pauley told The Reporter her decision to run for the District 4 council seat was, “Based on the desire to give back to the community in that capacity I am currently under, which is as the fiscal officer for the City of Carmel. The fiscal responsibilities of the current clerk-treasurer will be transferred to the city controller, a mayoral appointment. Those structural changes take effect in the 2020 election. Part of that is the establishment of a controller and a city clerk of court. When Carmel became to a second-class city, the city council changed its form of governance. Carmel’s Bond Bank had a combined bond sale of approximately $254 million. When Carmel became a second-class city in January 2016, they had to establish the bond bank to consolidate and achieve efficiency for combined sales of bonds. According to Pauley the Carmel Bond Bank is a separate entity from the city, as required by statute. She is also the executive director of the Carmel Bond Bank. She won that election against a 20-year incumbent in 2015, beginning her term in 2016. Pauley is currently the City of Carmel Clerk-Treasurer, which is an elected position. At least 25 percent of the people there were young Republicans.” We had a good number a people turn out and one part of this that was very good is that I had quite a number of young people there. ![]() “He had written a letter to the precinct chairs letting them know that he was going to endorse me,” Pauley said. Hamilton County Councilman Paul Ayers (right) publicly announced his endorsement of Christine Pauley (left), candidate for District 4 of the county council, at a Pauley campaign event Tuesday at Point Blank Range and Gun Shop in Carmel.
